Adisseo started construction of a powder methionine plant with 150,000 tons of annual capacity in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, on March 28, 2024. The company says the project will improve cost efficiency and expand its global production footprint.
The capacity addition is a longer-term supply increase that could temper methionine price gains once the plant comes online, though it has no near-term effect on supply.
