Australian feedgrain values for wheat, barley and sorghum eased in the week to June 7 as growers sold and offshore markets corrected. ABARES put the national wheat crop at 29.1Mt and barley at 11.5Mt, above many expectations.
Downs barley and sorghum were quoted at about A$420 and A$350 per tonne.
A larger-than-expected Australian crop adds to export supply and weighs on feedgrain values. Feed buyers can expect softer Australian barley and sorghum prices while growers keep selling.
