Statistics Canada reported that Canadian oilseed crush in May rose to 1.074 million tonnes, 159,000 tonnes above a year earlier, producing 533,645 tonnes of canola meal. Canadian grain deliveries in May were also up sharply year on year, with canola deliveries at 1.549 million tonnes.
Higher crush output and heavier canola deliveries add meal and grain supply to the domestic market, which weighs on canola meal prices.
