FOB China prices for lysine and threonine firmed for export this week. Container freight rates from China to export regions showed no relief and stayed firm for July and August shipments.
Lysine prices are rising in the USA and Europe for late Q3 and Q4, with much of Q3 and part of Q4 already contracted.
Higher container freight costs are raising landed prices of Chinese amino acids for feed buyers in the Americas and Europe. Methionine is stable, so the upward pressure is concentrated in lysine.
