Ukrainian sunflower seed processors raised purchase prices last week to 19,500-20,000 UAH/t, with some reaching 20,500 UAH/t. Asking prices for the new harvest were announced sparingly, mostly in the 17,000-18,700 UAH/t range.
A worsening crop forecast from hot weather and tight 2023 stocks are pushing processors to bid up seed, which supports sunflower meal and oil costs and the price outlook for feed buyers.
