DTN reported the average spot price for domestic distillers dried grains across 33 locations fell $8 to $149 per ton for the week ended July 11 compared with two weeks earlier. The DTN National Average Corn Index dropped 11 cents over the same period, and EIA ethanol output was 1.054 million bpd in the week ended July 5.
Falling cash corn and softer DDG prices reduce the cost of this corn co-product for feed buyers, while steady ethanol output keeps supply ample.
