Indonesian broiler prices are recovering, with targets near USD 1.21/kg on October 29, up from USD 0.99–1.04/kg a day earlier. The Indonesian Poultry Farmers Association says prices still sit below the production cost of USD 1.26/kg.
Producers operating below cost are likely to cut chick placements and reduce flock sizes, which lowers future poultry output and modestly reduces feed grain and meal demand.
