Evonik announced that its MetAMINO DL-methionine expansion on Jurong Island is complete, adding 40,000 tonnes for a total of 340,000 tonnes per year. Production is back at full capacity after shutdowns in Q4 2023 and Q2 2024, and green hydrogen from Linde is being used.
The capacity increase makes Evonik's Singapore site the world's largest methionine plant, adding meaningful supply to the feed methionine market and likely easing prices.
