The DTN national average price for domestic distillers dried grains from 33 locations was $140 per ton for the week ended August 22, down $1 from a week earlier. EIA data showed ethanol output averaged 1.098 million bpd in the week ended August 16, up 4.6% from a year earlier.
DTN's DDG-to-corn value ratio was 1.06%.
Rising plant output adds DDG supply while demand is slower, so prices are slipping. Lower DDG prices versus corn and soybean meal improve the feed-value case for DDG in rations.
