The EU General Court rejected a request by Belaruskali's export arm, BKK, to lift EU sanctions imposed in 2022 and 2023. The court found BKK still enjoys regime-backed privileges and remains the dominant potash exporter, which accounts for about 20 percent of global potash exports.
Sanctions keep a major potash exporter's route constrained, but the ruling does not change current volumes, so the direct price impact is limited.
