Barley prices at Port Adelaide fell about $12 per tonne over the past month as global coarse grain and wheat markets declined. Australian barley output is pegged at 11.4 Mt, up 6.9% year on year, with NSW and WA up and SA and Vic down.
Barley losses were limited by steady demand from major importers, but expected harvest pressure is likely to keep prices soft, which is bearish for feed barley.
