China resumed trading after its national holiday and threonine prices on a FOB China basis were raised again, with lysine HCl up a few cents per kg. Methionine, valine, tryptophan and arginine were stable to slightly weaker, while container freight rates were declining.
Higher Chinese amino acid prices raise the cost of synthetic lysine and threonine for feed formulators, while a weaker euro and lower freight partly offset this for European buyers.
