Peru's Ministry of Production announced that the second anchovy season in the North-Center region starts November 1, 2024, with a quota of 2.51 million tons. This is up from 2.283 million tons in 2022 and 1.682 million tons in 2023.
A higher anchovy quota means more fishmeal and fish oil supply during the season, which is bearish for fishmeal prices.
