Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko proposed coordinating with Russian fertilizer producers on a 10% cut in potash output. The aim is to lift potash prices on the global market.
The proposal was reported by the state news service Belta.
A coordinated supply cut from two producers that together supply roughly a third of world potash could firm prices and raise input costs for farmers. The proposal is not yet agreed, so the price effect is uncertain.
