Rabobank analyst Paul Joules says DAP prices in Australia are around AUD 950/tonne (Morocco bulk spot), the highest since March 2023. He attributes this to tighter global phosphate supply as the US and China cut export volumes and Morocco shifts from phosphate rock to DAP/MAP.
Phosphate is the worst-value fertiliser versus historical averages, so feed-grain and oilseed producers face higher input costs that can support crop prices over time.
