The South African rand was little changed in early trade on Thursday at about 18.21 per dollar, ahead of October producer inflation data and the central bank's Financial Stability Review. Analysts said local data was unlikely to move markets much given broader geopolitical developments.
With markets focused on geopolitics, the rand is not moving on a new domestic cause that would change import costs for feed buyers. The data may guide future central bank policy.
