A weekly China feed market update reported fishmeal port inventories near 320,000 mt, with weekly offtake and arrivals both recorded. Indicative prices on November 20 showed soybean meal at 3,060 RMB/mt and Peruvian super fishmeal at 12,900-13,000 RMB/mt.
The update also expected soybean meal prices to rise after the US election on tariff concerns.
Falling fishmeal arrivals and firm Thai and Japanese grades support Chinese protein prices. Expected tariff increases on US soybeans would lift soybean meal costs in China.
