AAFC held its 2024/25 canola export forecast at 7.50 million tonnes, citing uncertainty over China's anti-dumping investigation. Statistics Canada cut canola production to 17.85 million tonnes from 18.98 million.
AAFC also cut canola ending stocks to 1.25 million tonnes from 2.20 million.
Smaller production and tighter ending stocks reduce Canadian canola supply, which supports prices. The unresolved China probe keeps export outlook uncertain.
