DTN retail data for the first week of January 2025 showed little change across eight major fertilizers, with potash at $444/ton, anhydrous at $735/ton and urea at $490/ton. DAP averaged $738/ton and MAP $808/ton, both slightly lower than the prior month.
The University of Illinois also received funding for a low-nitrogen corn variety called NSave.
Stable retail fertilizer prices suggest no near-term relief or spike in input costs for livestock feed producers. The NSave research is long-term and has no immediate price effect.
