The Russian government is considering potassium chloride export quotas from Q2 2025 to secure domestic supply for NPK producers and farmers. The Center for Market Research forecasts Russian potash output up 3% to 16.9 million tons in 2025 and exports up 4% to 13.3 million tons.
Export quotas would cap Russian potash shipments to world markets, tightening supply for importers such as Brazil, China and the US and supporting potash prices.
