The U.S. Grains Council's weekly DDGS report for February 6, 2025 showed the FOB Gulf DDGS-to-soybean meal spread at $112 and the DDGS-to-corn spread at -$7.48, both narrower than the prior week. Delivered DDGS prices were $197 per MT at Elwood, Illinois and $193 per MT at the Kansas City rail yard.
U.S. ethanol output averaged 1.112 million barrels per day, up 97,000 BPD week over week and the highest in 10 weeks.
Higher ethanol output yields more DDGS, which competes with soybean meal and corn in feed rations, so the spread movements signal how attractively DDGS is priced against those alternatives. Stable spreads with firm ethanol output point to steady feed demand.
