Mexico suspended key provisions restricting GM corn through a resolution published in the Federal Official Gazette, following a USMCA panel ruling. The measures nullified were Articles 6 (Section II), 7 and 8 of the 2023 decree.
Administrative acts referencing those provisions are void.
Lifting these restrictions preserves Mexican demand for US GM corn, a key support for US corn export prices.
