National average negotiated hog price reached $91.74/cwt in the week ending April 25, up $10.23 from a week earlier, as some packers bought extra hogs to fill slaughter plans. US consumer price inflation slowed to 2.39% y/y in March, and retail pork prices rose to $4.951/lb.
