NCDEX cottonseed oil cake futures in India rose from INR 2625 per quintal on March 4 to INR 3010 on April 23, 2025. Government MSP purchases by CCI reduced kapas arrivals at ginners, and the crop is smaller, tightening seed supply.
A smaller cotton crop and reduced seed availability raise the cost of cottonseed meal for Indian feed buyers. This supports the price of cottonseed-based protein meals.
