MARC Ratings expects the crude palm oil market to open 2026 on a softer note after elevated 2025 prices. It projects prices of RM3,850 to RM4,250 per tonne in 2026, compared with RM4,300 this year.
The 2025 peak was RM4,875, below 2024's high, as Indonesian output rose 11.3% year-to-date.
Recovering yields and higher Indonesian supply are expected to pull palm prices lower into 2026. Steady Indian import demand limits the downside.
