The Colombian peso closed May 28, 2025 at 4,128.15 per US dollar, down 0.89% from the prior day. Intraday, it traded as strong as 4,108.5, its firmest level since mid-March, after breaking below the 4,110 support level.
The move left the peso well below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
A firmer peso lowers the local-currency cost of Colombian imports, but the effect on feed grain and meal prices is minimal. This is routine currency movement with no direct link to feed supply or demand.
