The U.S. Grains Council weekly DDGS report for May 29, 2025 shows the FOB Gulf DDGS-to-soybean meal spread narrowed to $79 from $91 the prior week. The DDGS-to-corn spread widened to $29.32 from $21.41.
U.S. ethanol output averaged 1.056 million barrels per day, up 20,000 bpd week on week.
A narrower DDGS discount to soybean meal makes DDGS relatively less attractive versus SBM in feed rations, while the wider corn spread signals DDGS is cheap against corn, supporting feed demand. Higher ethanol output means more DDGS supply available for export and domestic feed.
