Evonik will shut down its methionine production facilities in Singapore and Antwerp for 6-7 weeks each in Q3 and Q4 2025 to carry out technical upgrades. The Singapore closure is coordinated with a raw material supplier's maintenance.
The Antwerp shutdown follows in September and October.
Two major methionine shutdowns in the second half of 2025 reduce available supply and support methionine prices for feed producers. Buyers should plan for firmer methionine costs during the outage periods.
