DL-Methionine prices rose 5% on the global market, according to a weekly update. NHU's plant will undergo maintenance from late July to early August, and Ningxia CUC's methionine line will be down for about 50 days from early August.
Evonik also plans 8-10 weeks of maintenance and upgrades across its sites.
