Cottonseed prices in Xinjiang have risen about 20% since the start of 2025 to roughly 2,650 yuan/ton, supported by tight supply after seed cotton processing ended and zero April cottonseed imports. Cotton linter prices have rebounded but remain weaker and well below their January level.
Tight cottonseed supply and firm cottonseed meal prices support the cottonseed complex, which competes with soymeal in feed formulation. Buyers should expect firm cottonseed-based feed costs until new crop arrives.
