Rail and Maritime Transport Union members began industrial action at Napier Port over a pay deal covering about 185 workers. The action disrupted port operations, and a fuel tanker was unable to berth over the weekend.
The port said it may consider temporary suspension if work cannot be provided.
The stoppage affects a single New Zealand port and mainly fuel and general cargo. Its effect on global feed commodity prices is negligible.

After 823 past logistics events, Wheat (SRW) moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (46% higher; middle half -1.5% to +1.2%), and -0.1% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
