The U.S. Grains Council's weekly DDGS report shows the FOB Gulf DDGS-to-soybean meal spread widened slightly to $111 from $109. The DDGS-to-corn spread narrowed sharply to $20.11 from $29.16.
Ethanol output averaged 1.07 million barrels per day, below the prior week and last year's 1.10 million.
A narrower DDGS-to-corn spread reduces the discount that makes DDGS attractive relative to corn in feed rations. Lower ethanol output also signals less DDGS supply ahead.
