Danish fishmeal factories received 85,101 tonnes of sandeel in 2025, 5,000 tonnes less than a year earlier, as UK waters remained closed to fishing. Combined Danish and Norwegian landings reached 96% of the 110,078-tonne European quota, up sharply from about 60% in 2024.
Reduced raw material access from UK closures tightens Danish fishmeal supply, which can support fishmeal prices and feed costs in Europe.
