Peru's Ministry of Production reported that fishing GDP grew 33.7% in June 2025, driven by anchovy landings for indirect human consumption, which is fishmeal and fish oil. Anchovy landings for that use reached 462.5 thousand tons, up 91.5% year on year.
Total fish landings were 614.5 thousand tons, up 69.7%.
Strong June anchovy landings signal ample fishmeal supply from Peru, the world's largest fishery, which tends to pressure fishmeal prices lower.
