UOB forecasts USD/VND will decline to 26,300 in Q4 2025, 26,200 in Q1 2026, 26,100 in Q2 2026 and 26,000 in Q3 2026. The bank notes the dong hit a record low of 26,436 in August and has fallen 3.4% year to date.
UOB expects the dong to underperform regional currencies as the dollar weakens on Fed cuts.
A forecast of gradual dong appreciation implies slightly lower import costs for Vietnamese feed buyers over the next year. The impact on world feed prices is minimal.
