The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council sent a delegation to India, including USGBC members International Feed, The DeLong Company, POET and the Iowa Corn Growers Association, to promote U.S. distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS). India currently has no market access for DDGS.
The trip included meetings with agribusinesses, processors, a hatchery and a feed mill.
If India opens its market, DDGS could become a meaningful new export outlet for U.S. ethanol plants, supporting DDGS demand. No immediate price impact is evident because access is not yet granted.
