Craig Mostyn Group opened a $20 million poultry rendering plant at Talloman in Hazelmere, Western Australia. The plant will render 50,000 tonnes per year of chicken by-products into stock, aqua and pet feed, biofuel feedstock and fertiliser.
Added rendering capacity in WA increases local supply of poultry meal for animal feed, a modest effect on regional protein ingredient availability.
