The Kerala State Pollution Control Board says only two of 20 bonemeal, chicken waste rendering and rubber processing units in Edayar industrial area have not yet complied with emission directives. The 20 units received closure or closure-intention notices between April 2024 and January 2025 after a NIIST study found faulty biofilters.
