Malaysian palm oil futures fell for a third straight session on Tuesday, weighed by weaker rival vegetable oils and a sharp drop in crude oil after OPEC+ signaled further output increases. The December contract slipped 0.87% to 4,347 ringgit per ton but remained on track for a quarterly gain of about 9%.
Lower crude weakens the biodiesel feedstock appeal of palm oil and pressures the vegetable oil complex, pointing to softer palm prices in the near term.
