Kansas sorghum producers are looking to diversify exports after Chinese buyers stepped back over the past nine months. Vietnam is evaluating up to 500,000 tonnes for feed use, and Spain has bought 250,000 tonnes this year.
New buyers could absorb some of the lost Chinese volume, but the amounts are small relative to the crop, so the price effect is limited.
