US commercial poultry losses to HPAI since 2022 have passed 175 million birds, including a 3.08 million-hen layer flock in Wisconsin and a 33,000-turkey flock in Minnesota. Minnesota has now had eight commercial flock infections in 2025.
Losses of this size remove meaningful layer and turkey supply, which supports egg and poultry prices while the disease persists.
