The DTN spot price for domestic distillers dried grains averaged $143 per ton across 33 locations for the week ended September 4, up $1 from a week earlier. DDG prices were mixed but higher on average as demand picked up and cash corn rose.
The DDG value relative to corn was 0.954 and relative to soybean meal was 50.41%.
Firmer DDG prices and a higher share of soybean meal value make DDGS a more competitive protein option for feed formulators. Rising demand supports the price trend.
