Ukrainian sunflower prices rose further as the market stayed nervous, following higher sunflower oil prices and a stronger dollar against the hryvnia. Harvest forecasts were cut to 10-10.5 million tons after prolonged rain damaged crops in the west.
Spot sunflower oil prices rose $20-30/t to $1,245-1,255/t, supporting Russian oil prices.
Higher oil and seed costs keep sunflower meal and oil prices firm in export markets, while expected supply increases could later stabilise prices.
