Peru's anchovy fishing season ran into late July 2025, well past the 2024 close around 19 June, lengthening the catch and processing window. IFFO data show global cumulative fishmeal output rose about 8% through July versus 2024, with fish oil up roughly 5%.
Peru supplies about 20% of world fishmeal and fish oil, so a longer season and higher output add supply to the market and ease upward pressure on fishmeal prices.
