Animal Business Middle East and Africa reports that Evonik completed an upgrade of its Antwerp methionine facilities during a planned September and October 2025 shutdown. The work added an automated 1,000-kilogram big-bag filling system and expanded storage.
The company says its three hubs now provide more than 700,000 metric tons of annual MetAMINO capacity.
The Antwerp upgrade supports supply reliability but does not change total methionine output, so price impact is minimal. It mainly helps customers who want larger packaging formats.
