Evonik finished a logistics upgrade at its Antwerp methionine plant during a September and October 2025 shutdown. The project adds an automated big-bag filling line and expanded storage.
Evonik says its global MetAMINO capacity now exceeds 700,000 metric tons across Antwerp, Mobile and Singapore.
The upgrade improves packaging flexibility and handling but does not add production capacity, so it has little direct effect on methionine supply or price. Buyers may see easier access to large-format packaging.
