China's Ministry of Commerce set a final 5.9% anti-dumping duty on Canadian canola seed for five years, on top of the 9% MFN duty for a total of 14.9%. Tariffs on canola meal were cut to 0% from March 1 through December 31, 2026, while canola oil remains subject to a 100% tariff.
Removing the tariff on canola meal reopens a major Canadian export channel to China, which supports canola meal prices and export flows. Seed and oil remain tariffed, which keeps Canadian crush and oil exports under pressure.
