Canola cash and futures prices have crept higher since the October low despite weak exports. Canola futures rose 5.8% from October 1 to November 18, lagging soybeans' 11.9% gain, while soyoil rose only 3.5% and crude oil fell 1.1%.
Weak export demand and soft soyoil and crude keep the outlook under pressure, so canola's modest gains are unlikely to be sustained without better export sales or US biofuel clarity.
