Peru's authorities announced a 1.63 million tonne quota for the second anchovy season in the North-Centre fishing grounds, above the November 1 provisional quota. IFFO notes the quota is in line with the 2023 level and below the 2024 level.
Cumulative fishmeal production to September 2025 was up about 8%, and fish oil output was up about 6%.
A bigger anchovy quota means more fishmeal and fish oil supply, which tends to weigh on fishmeal prices and supports cheaper marine ingredients for aquafeed.
