USDA's December report cut its Ukrainian sunflower seed crop forecast by 1.5 million tons to 10.5 million tons. Global oilseed output was raised 2.25 million tons to 690.26 million tons, offsetting lower Ukrainian and Russian sunflower seed.
A smaller Ukrainian sunflower crop cuts meal and oil output from a major exporter, which supports sunflower meal prices. The higher global total limits how far this lifts the broader complex.
